I suck with hair?

Alright im really bad with this and dont understand the whole "hair lingo" with "fringe" and "brusing" and what ever else you say lol.

I was told to part my hair, and gel it, or not, and it would grow that way. So I tried parting it, can anyone tell me if this is right?

Will the parting, like were you can see my actual head, be visible once it gets longer?

what should I do to the back, I cant really tell but what if its scraggly..

Without even looking at the choices, I'd say go with natural everytime. When I was young, during the early pleistocene, I decided to wear my naturally curly hair in full curl bloom. Btw, I don't even know if you want it straight or curly or even have a choice.

Anyway, I cut my hair shorter at the top in a sort of Gypsy style. I'd wash it, apply lots of conditioner because I have tons of thick dark hair, then I'd run my fingers through it using them to detangle until all the tangles were gone. After rinsing, I'd blot it with a towel but never combed nor brushed it. I swear, I started a national trend with that hair because a friend of a friend who'd seen my hair and was a hairdresser entered the do in a contest and won. She saw me a few months later and she said, "I see you're wearing the NEW FREEDOM, I won a competition with that one!"

his hair isnt parted. it comes straight from the back. brush your hair forward with no part

Correct parting of hair in last 2 pics. However if thatsy our hair then its not long enough and wont look like Drake Bells no matter what you do at least until its grown out.

if the back gets scraggly cut it a little bity but not shorter than the front.

but especially not longer because then you'll just have a mullet.

Okay once your hair grows more it will not be visible but you are doing it right and just make sure you give the back a quick brush and you will be fine

If you have thick hair, like REALLY thick hair, tell whoever is cutting your hair to cut it with scizzors, not clipper things. This will layer your hair and thin it out a bit so its more managable. And i have that style, just a lot longer and i use texture creme. The brand is American Crew and its called Texture Creme. It works well, and use it on the sides of your hair and the tips of your hair. (My girlfriend works at Tony %26amp; Guy..thats how i know this) If you need help, contact me. If you keep brushing it that way why its growing then your parting will stay that way and your hair will be the same. Just keep growing it. Your hair sets to the way you put it. Think you need the parting other side though but apart from that its right.

Someone has said you don't need the part. Well you do until it grows because your hair is so short it will go back to normal if you don't part it. Once your hair has grown you wont need the parting you hair will be heavy enough to stay where it is. It will grow that way keep parting mate

Once the hair grows longer it will part more easily, and will more than likely look like the style you want on its own. Since your hair is the right texture for it. It will probably be a few more months though. Hair grows about 1/2" per month, so just go in and get your neck and sides cleaned up, and leave the longest layers alone for a while. Ya your hair will look like that when it grows out, its too short right now. Once it starts to get long and reach your eyebrows then you can part it or move it over to the side and it will look like that. If you want it to look more shaggy or uneven you should go to a good hair place. I usually go to some saloons where chicks go, cus the other places, like super cuts and such, suck and just screw up your hair. Well, when you go there you could say you want it to look like that, bring a picture, and they will touch it up and make it look more peicey and uneven, so its not just a bowl. to make it look like that you need some parts longer or shorter than others. Also dont use gel, it will just make it look like a shell on your head. Get some of this stuff called Rough Paste by Redken. It does awesome stuff to hair and you dont need to use much. It lets your hair move like their is nothing in it but yet you can make it look exactly how you want it.

no one looks at the top of your head. So don't worry about seeing a little skull. You really should go to a stylist (not a barber)and have them set you up right.
