I was wondering how to do my hair like Aly (from Aly and Aj). I wan't it like the loose waves. How do I do that? Steps would be nice :)

My hair is very long, thick, and straight....here's what I do to get those waves (and its easy!)

I wash my hair at night in a volume boosting shampoo and conditioner (only condition your ends). I then brush my hair and while it is still wet I put in hair gel and spread evenly. I then blow dry my hair until its only a little damp. Then I braid my hair in one single braid, starting from the crown of my head to the very ends...spray a little bit of hairspray and then you're done for the night. The next morning spray a little more hair spray and blow dry it while it is still in the braid then gently take it down and spray away!! (not to much though)

This is what I do to my hair and I get allot of compliments on it....it gives it big loose waves and body, so pretty! Good luck, it'll look great!

curl it with a medium size curling iron ( don't apply anything to hair though) when your finished with all your hair flip you head upside down and try to finger comb your girls so they can become a little lose then flip up and style the front part however you like then apply hairspray

I'm quite sure her hair has been tonged. A hair curler has been used to create those waves. So you can either use one of those on dry hair which you smoothen down by blowdrying it a bit.

Or you can take small sections of your hair when it is damp, keep twisting it around and around until it gets all and then pin each twisty. But that can take ages.

To tong your hair it's best to wash and dry your hair. If it's not straight hair then blow dry it a little first. Work with dry hair.

Take small sections if you want tight curls and bigger sections if you want bigger curls. About 1-2 inch sections and wrap your hair around the tong barrel. Keep it for a few seconds then unwind the barrel from your hair and check it out.

It's best if you ask someone to help you do that so that you don't burn your hair.

well, it depends on if you have straight hair or not. if so, i would suggest washing it with herbal essance curling shampoo and conditioner. Then half blow dry it and hair spray it while it is half wet. Make sure the hair spray is sprunching spray though. Then by the time it dries it will be curly. and if it is alredy curly, then just half straighten your hair, and maybe curl out some ends. :.)

First blow dry straight with a boar skin bristle round brush (the best) then get some kind of wax or molder by bed head, or whatever you like and work it through your hair little by little rubbiing on hands then apply from crown to ends in sections( -NEVER BUY CHEAP PRODUCT! go to salons to get product, if you can get it al walmart, target, or sally's FORGET it!)

Then part your hair in four even sections and one section at a time use a 1 inch barrell curling iron on small sections of hair at a time. Once your done with your whole head spray with a light aeresol harspray and work your fingers through till u get that wavy look (as opposed to set curls)
