Hun, those celebs have 100 people work on their hair before appearing to the public. No one has such perfect hair.
If your are relaxing your hair only twice a year, you won't acheive sleek. You will gett puffy. It may be nice for the first couple of weeks, but it takes a lot to maintain sleek hair.
Also, they usually wear a sew-in weave or the new lace front wigs.
It all depends on your hair type. This year I've only had 2 maybe 3 relaxers but i get them done professionally and they usually last a while but on my own I wash it with Garnier Fructis Sleek and shine, let it air dry, and the next day or later that week, flat iron it with Profective Mega Growth Spray and wrap it at night. Before I go out in the morning, I rub some anti-frizz serum (Garnier) in while I'm getting dressed so that it doesn't get too frizzy (a lot of times it doesn't get frizzy at all) from the humidity. I also took someones advice and invested in a satin sheet: it keeps the moisture in your hair (they say cotton sheets driy and break your hair out) and the best part is you don't have to tie it up at night! But that's me; before you do anything, you should go to a professional. Oh yea, half of those people have a GOOD weave job, so don't worry about that!
how do celebrities go from tinted dark hair to blonde without wrecking it and avoiding the orangey, brassy stage of lightning the hair. other than bleach on high peroxcide is there anything anyone knows of?
I am a hair stylist/colorist and once you put a very dark color on your hair the only way to get it out is to use bleach. But that does not mean your hair will fry. You can use a combination of bleach and shampoo,mix it together apply it to your head and watch it lift.
Because of the dark color you will go through a orange stage. Rinse hair and apply the desired lighter color. Note- If the hair is orange or very gold after rinsing use a color(toner) that has some Ash in it -It will neutralize the gold tone. Finish with a good color conditioner such as Paul Mitchell reconstructive treatment.
This is something that is do-able at home but it is best to see your stylist to avoid any further hair trauma you might cause.
They spend a lot of money at very high end salons to look like that. They can afford expensive conditioning treatments to prevent or at least mask damage to their hair. I know you can use lemon juice and sunlight to lighten your hair but it won't make you all over blonde.
well there is this hair lightnening kit at Sally's thats called lightning flash... its pretty good then if you want another color of blond then you can go buy those box hair coloring kits...and put it on your lightned hair

Either you can go and get it professionally done(they know what they are doing) or get some Sun In. It works and it does not contain peroxide or bleach. If you sitin the sun a lot put lemon juice on your hair, that works too.
try beach blonde products ... all you need is either the sun or heat and the reagent in the product will lighten up you hair without chemicaly hurting it

I'm not a celeb, but I am a stylist and I always recommend professional products, but aside from shampoo and conditioner there are great products that give shine if your shampoo and conditioner isn't enough for you. Redken makes Vinyl Glam, which I love but Biolage makes a great one too. Happy hair days!

As for shiny hair, many of them slop on lots of goo to have hair shine for a function or photoshoot.

Unless you have a stylist travel with you, your hair will probably never look perfect all the time. Celebrities have their stylist right by their sides at all times, that's the only reason that their hair looks good all the time. I am sure they use professional products and keep up on salon visits for trims, colors, and so on. Matrix is a huge professional line that is endorsed by many stars. I love it and recommend it everyday. Try it, I bet you will see the improvement in your hair before the first bottle is gone. The biggest difference in professional products as opposed to those at a drug store or other stores is that the water content is HALF of the store bought brands. That is 80% water in store bought brands and only 40% water in professional brands. This is why you do not have to use as much and why the product can fix problems more quickly. This is also why they cost more but they are really worth the couple of extra dollars. Ask your stylist for suggestions and good luck!
bumble %26amp; bumble is amazing and i wouldnt be suprised if it was a huge celeb thing. i use it adn my naturally frizzy and dry hair is soft and looks better. it still is very "in".
Actually, there is a lot of hard work in being a celeb, but even after all beauty sessions photographers use a lot of Photo Shop. So, nobody is that beautiful, shiny and gorgeous as it might seem at a first glance. try any good shampoo that says "extra shine" but have realistic expectations.
sorry most celebs have private hairdressers that have a secret way of making shiny hair. i usually rinse my hair in cold water which usually makes it shiny. try that.

I don't know which one. They all look pretty. For straight hair I think a little longer than chin-length bob looks good. For curly or wavy hair I like it better long. Both I think look really good with a side part and side bangs.

You've got to use a good stiff product made for spiking. Don't use a gel unless you want the wet look. I would advice a styling mud, which you should be able to find anywhere.

There's this really amazing product that some of my guy friends use, it's called Ice Gel, it's sold at Long's or any other drug store like that. It's this really strong gel that when you put it in your hair and smooth your hair out with your fingers, it takes the curl away and your hair can stay like that for I think like 8 or 9 hours, so i would try that and if it doesn't work just expirament a little, you'll find sumthin' that works!!

Volume mouse, and a round brush. You will get so much volume by drying your hair with a round brush
use good shampoo and conditioners, not cheap ones, u could ask your hairdresser. use hair mousse and blow dry using a round brush, dont use a comb with tiny teeth to style it but a wide toothed one.
Most of those celebrities wear hair pieces! If you want body use a volumizing mousse and flip your head upside down to blow dry. Then blow dry it till it's about 90% dry and then round brush it. Do not forget to round brush it in sections and hit the cool button after you round brush each part while the brush is still in the hair.

Use a heat protectant product - there are sprays and gels and oil kinds so you might have to experiment with that - and blow dry your hair first. Then use a flat iron. Just don't do it too much or else you'll dry your hair out.

First take this pic to your hairstylist and explain to her or him exactly what you wrote on here. it is possible to get your hair thinned with a pair of thinning shears. Also us a smoothing shampoo and condtioner and you may need to use some kind of gloss drops and a straightning iron...im sure someone else does this for him! But it depends on how badly you want this hairstyle...you may need to work at it!

Ummm... It might be that you have naturally thick hair. If that's the case, you can't do much of anything to make it straighter. There are un-frizzing products you could use, if you really want to, or you could straighten your hair.

Try using biosilk on damp hair and then blow dry it. Then try using the CHI straightening iron, it's one of the best out there.

its the roots of your hair that need to be volumised. buy some heated rollers like the babyliss one from boots, argos, superdrug and use them after you have straightned your hair. spray some volumising spray on your roots (not to much tho or it will go greasy) and spray some on the rollers to before. then after you take them out tip your head upside down and shake your head abit. flip up and voila..gorgeous bouncy hair.

find the biggest velcor rollers you can find.. dry your hair until it is nearly dry... the put in the rollers using small sections of hair otherwise will take ages. Secure the rollers with grips.

Use a shampoo for heat styling, I use thermasilk moisturizing shampoo for heat use shampoo and conditioner (purple bottles). Then dry hair completely, and use a good striaghtener (FHI is what I have. You can buy it at any salon for about $120). Then dry with a blast of cold air to keep the shine all night long, works GREAT!閳?br>How to make hair silky for a party ??

Use jojoba oil in your shampoo, and when you use the oil on your hands, wipe the little bit over your fly-aways. It's natural, great, and never goes rancid - great for skin, too!

After straightening it you must use a serum for that look. Biosilk, silk therapy is great, but be careful not to use too much. A drop, rub your hands together, put it through your hair, not too close to the scalp, and brush a few times.

But for the shampoo I would use the Shapoo that goes along with it. ohh and with conditioner some people just put it in and take it out accually brush through it while its in and wash yoru feet or somthing and then wash it out (it guves it time to settle).
deep condition ur hair n apply serum after straightening with a straightner.
u culd try using a special shampoo, or blow-drying ur hair really well (that's what I do) Good luck! :)

you won't get that glossy look without a good hair serum... frizz ease or biosilk hair serum both work really well, especially if you will be straightening it with a hot iron... (hopefully ceramic since it is much better for your hair).
Also, if you use too much it will look greasy! Maybe experiment with the product you choose a day or so before the party. That way, you'll feel confident that your hair will look its best for your night out.

Try soaking your hair the night before with olive oil (not the cooking variety). Soak at least an hour and wrap in hot towel. Wash off as usual. Your hair will be soft and shiny. To achieve straight hair, you will need to blow dry, then use a straight iron when its not so wet. If your hair easily straightens with just blowdrying and brush technique, stick to it and don't use straight iron as it's more damaging if not used correctly.
On the night itself, use a anti-frizz spray or wax for silky straight hair to prevent flyaway hair.
I heard gingko biloba extract's good to keep hair shiny and soft but I don't know where you can get those. I'd like to try to if it's available =)
Anyway, you need to give your hair treatments regularly to keep it conditioned. Don't just wait till parties to do it. Try the olive oil treatment every 2 weeks. Another thing is to watch your diet - keep away from processed foods as much as possible. From personal experience, taking chinese herb soups can produce very nice silky and soft hair. I used to take about 3-4 times a week once and my hair was the best it ever was. It's just ordinary herbs commonly used in Cantonese style clear soups - check it out in chinese medical stores - the herbalists will advise how to cook the soups. Try not to buy ready-prepared soups as they always contain monosodium glutamate for taste rather than the real thing.

Just let it grow thick and long and don't wash it everyday. Wash it every 3 or 4 days. Put mousse on it and scrunch it. My hair has never looked better since i quit washing it so much. For real..... try it you will see!

well first of all, if you don't wash it often, it will become oily which feels really bad and can give you acne. What you should do is wash your hair in the afternoon, to give it some time to dry comepletely (after drying your hair with a hair dryer of course) around for 2-3 hours. Then you sleep on it. The next day, your hair will feel non-oily, and clean but it will be controlled because of the 12 hours that you have given your hair some time to expose its shine

They use "moving rubber" for hair. Its an asian product, I don't think you can find it at english malls. You need to go to a chinese,korean, japanese hair store to find it. I've seen it in Chinese stores. You can buy this product on ebay too! I good brand I really recommend is "Gatsby Moving Rubber". To prove that this is the product your probably looking for, watch this commercial about the Gatsby Moving Rubber for hair. This guy with flat hair uses it and it turns out "mildly up and looks spiky yet it isn't hard". I think this is what you are looking for. It teaches you how to style it nicely too!

That's a little hard to do at home. I don't reeally know what kind of hair you have, but i'll give you instructions for someone with straight hair. Blow dry you hair with a brush, flipping out. Use heat protection hairspray and mist gently all over. Get a '1"-2 inch curling iron and wave you hair for only a few seconds and gently pull out. Finish the rest of your hair with the iron and gently spray a frizz spray if you want it to be in place throughout the whole day. Ta-da!
There are two ways to do this. The more natural looking one (and cheaper) is with velco curlers. First, take a shower and use a weightless or volumizing mousse to help give hold and body. Then, blow dry. Then, roll the hair up in the large velcro rollers (10-12 should cover your whole head). Hairspray as you roll if you find that your hair has a hard time holding its shape. Then, blow dry on a high heat, low airflow setting. Once you are sure they've been sufficiently heated (all the way through!!!!!!) let them cool with the rollers still in your hair. Once they are completely cool (10-15 minutes for most people), you can take them out. Flip your head upside down and comb with your fingers to make it look more natural. If you feel you need to, use one last layer of hairspray. There ya go, all done.
The second is hot rollers. these are more expensive but a little less work for you. They also give you a more "made up" look (less natural). Follow the directions on the package.

use hot rollers, or if you can dampen your hair and loosly wrap it around a LARGE hair roller/curler. (i cant think of what its called, but its like cushiony and you wrap your hair around it and close a clip looking thing over it to make it stay) as long as it is done loosly, and you hair is completly dry spray hairspray in your hair and unwrap it. onmce its unwrapped, use a COMB to lighly detangle any parts, and to make them the way you want them to llok. when your done with that, again spray your hair with hair spray. and your done

Clairol is good and cheap. Her hair though, actually looks brown with a lighter brown highlighting. You will need to foil in some highlights to achieve that look.
look at the pictures on the sides of the box. it will show you how many shades darker it will make your hair...the color you need to buy and how much of it will depend on what color your hair is now... if your going lighter...see a pro because it can cause disastrous results and you may need your hair stripped of color before dying..

of course you could just go crazy depending on who you are and use pink for your bangs or something. But i would go to a professional and ask them. They would really be able to give you some ideas. they have tons of things that they can do to your hair. Just tell them to give you some ideas and pick!

I saw your pics and in my opinion as a cosmotologist I would do a combo of low and highlights. I admit I watch All my Children and the character of Ava has a cool look that would look great. She has a combo of both dark and blonde and it looks great. Go to a wig store and try on diffirent colors because you can always remove them. You have a fair complexion and I think a combo low and high light would look great on a young lady. I am 43 and chose to go auburn because it makes me look younger. Yea! i think this would be sooo cute! I love the layers and the side swept bangs..you can get your stylist to put a straightener in your hair which helps get rid of some of the curl and help to straighten better. U would have to use a straightening iron everyday which can be damaging but you can get a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner with a leave in conditioner and like silk drops or a protection spray. That stuff helps out alot! I def would try it tho!

It's got tourmaline, and is full ceramic, not coated. Also, buy a damage protector for you hair.
A cut like this is easy, it's the style and the work that you'll have to put into it that's the question. It may need flat ironing every day to maintain it's shape. The color and everything should work just fine but are you gonna have the time to flaten it everyday? I think I just made the same point twice so this is where I just shut up. Good luck.

i use spray on luminator called shine from walmart. you can also use it with a straightener instead of the chi serum. i have long black hair too, :) it cost from 1.99 to 5.99 for the cheap stuff, do not use alot or it'll look greasy.

Hun, those celebs have 100 people work on their hair before appearing to the public. No one has such perfect hair.
If your are relaxing your hair only twice a year, you won't acheive sleek. You will gett puffy. It may be nice for the first couple of weeks, but it takes a lot to maintain sleek hair.
Also, they usually wear a sew-in weave or the new lace front wigs.
It all depends on your hair type. This year I've only had 2 maybe 3 relaxers but i get them done professionally and they usually last a while but on my own I wash it with Garnier Fructis Sleek and shine, let it air dry, and the next day or later that week, flat iron it with Profective Mega Growth Spray and wrap it at night. Before I go out in the morning, I rub some anti-frizz serum (Garnier) in while I'm getting dressed so that it doesn't get too frizzy (a lot of times it doesn't get frizzy at all) from the humidity. I also took someones advice and invested in a satin sheet: it keeps the moisture in your hair (they say cotton sheets driy and break your hair out) and the best part is you don't have to tie it up at night! But that's me; before you do anything, you should go to a professional. Oh yea, half of those people have a GOOD weave job, so don't worry about that!

HEY! so i am in love (yes, dramatic, i know... but wait till you see the picture! ) with Aly's hair. My own hair is shoulder length and when I let it dry naturally, it's pretty wavy. Whenever I put mousse in it and scrunch it, it looks ok because it gets really curly, but it's stiff. not hot like Aly's! lol. So I need some good hair advice! I don't know which one. They all look pretty. For straight hair I think a little longer than chin-length bob looks good. For curly or wavy hair I like it better long. Both I think look really good with a side part and side bangs.

Well, there are tons of celebrities you can look like. I would take a picture of yourself. Just a normal picture. Then I would take different pictures of celebs from the internet and compare the differences between you. Then you should know who you look like and who you don't. Good luck.

Also, they have professional stylists that know HOW to make it appear healthy and gorgeous. As well as they know that, they also know how to totally change up their style without ruining their hair.

Celebrities usually employ their own professional hair and make up people that usually accompany them where ever they go....this is the reason why they stay with that "flawless" look.
